After 36 years as a lead pastor, Mark joined the team at SB Construction Group in 2019. He came to SB with a passion for cultivating relationships with pastors and other church leaders and with valuable experience in building church facilities. Over his career, Mark led the construction of six church buildings, the acquisition of three properties, eight capital campaigns, and the master planning for a successful church relocation.
Mark’s experience as a church leader allows him to offer valuable wisdom and understanding to church clients and he is uniquely qualified to help ministries see their vision for construction come to fruition. Mark and his wife Sarah were married in 1983 and they have three kids and four grandkids.
NAVCON Group (Round Rock, TX and Bellville, TX): Navcon serves BGW clients throughout Central and Southeast Texas. Founded in 2008, the company’s primary mission is to keep clients and their projects “On Course. To Completion.” NAVCON is the abbreviation of NAVigator and CONstruction. A navigator is one that directs the course and finds the way. With offices in Round Rock and Bellville, NAVCON has successfully completed over 200 projects in excess of one million total square feet with single project values up to $26 million across multiple industry sectors. Mike is an experienced leader with a demonstrated 24 year history of working in the construction industry. Skilled in Negotiation, Budgeting, Value Engineering, Contracts, Marketing, Client Relationships, Data analysis, Project Management and Project Estimating. Mike is a strong business development professional with a Bachelor of Science (BS) focused in Construction Science from Texas A&M University. As COO, Mike is responsible for the management of the daily operations and analysis of the overall work program; the status of projects as well as marketing efforts & materials, social media, business development and recruitment; management of pre-construction activities; project negotiations, contract review, budget, proposals & scope development.
