Financially Sustainable Church – 21,018 SF Remodel & Addition of Historic Theater
Completed in Fall 2020, this unique mixed-use project involved the renovation of the historic Ritz Theatre in downtown Escondido, an 80-year-old theater that had been vacant for 15 years. In addition to being the home of New Vintage Church, the goal for “The Grand” is to become Escondido’s premier private event and community gathering space.
The stunning 2-story multi-use performing arts venue seats up to 577 people, with floor and mezzanine level seating, a large movie screen and stage. Other features include a black box movie theater, dance studios, meeting rooms, and a 3rd floor rooftop lounge. The Grand is also home to Manzanita Roasting Company Coffee House and a Christian Youth Theater production.
