Since 1996, Southwest Christian has been a viable option in the southwest area of the Twin Cities for Christian families seeking a strong academic environment framed in biblical understanding. With a growing student body that reached 160 students in 2010-2011, the school began several years ago to consider options for expansion and identified land to build a new campus. Building God’s Way worked with the leadership of the school to develop designs for the first phase of construction, a 62,000 square foot facility that was constructed to accommodate 350+ students with room for expansion.

Completed in 2012, this beautiful facility was designed with a strong emphasis on athletics and has 3 full-size basketball courts, dividing curtains, folding bleachers and a center stage that provides access to the mezzanine level. The mezzanine level includes ample classroom spaces, a complete media center and four laboratory spaces for science and computers. The remaining lower level of the facility adjoining the athletic space will house locker rooms as well as the cafeteria, kitchen, and administrative office space and music room.

Phase 2 of the project is currently under construction and features 63,000 + SF of space focused on performing arts, including a large auditorium with oversized performance stage and orchestra pit, black box theater, back stage scene shop and dressing rooms.  The new facility will also feature an outdoor amphitheater and ample music education space.
