The world's way of construction is in many ways a broken process. Industry studies estimate that as much as 70% of commercial construction projects are over budget or late. Conflict, finger-pointing and broken relationships have become the norm.
The BGW Approach seeks to revolutionize the way church buildings and Christian school facilities are designed and built, cutting construction costs by up to 30%. How? By integrating three foundational principles of Stewardship, Relationship
The BGW Builder Network
The construction of BGW projects is delivered through a nationwide network of builder partners who are leaders in church and school construction. These exclusive BGW Builders have a unique understanding of faith-based projects and a heart for helping ministries build the vision God has given them, while being the best possible stewards of their resources.
Through a unique series of pre-construction meetings, the BGW architect and builder work to build relationships with the subcontractors prior to completion of the design documents. This allows the BGW team to incorporate valuable input and make necessary changes to the design documents that can clear up any confusion and significantly reduce construction costs.
The Pre-Construction Stewardship process was also designed to leverage construction industry relationships and linkage within the ministry that can lead to in-kind gifts or substantially discounted products or services. BGW has conducted hundreds of these programs throughout the U.S. over the past 20 years, resulting in millions of dollars in gifts and donated materials.
The Ministry of Construction
The true heart of the Building God's Way approach, the Ministry of Construction program offers churches and Christian schools a step-by-step guide to organizing a successful outreach ministry during construction. This provides ministries with a unique opportunity to show the love of Christ to construction workers that are right in their own backyard.
Over the years, we have seen God do amazing things through this program, as hundreds of construction workers have been impacted with the life-changing message of the Gospel.
The BGW Construction Documents & Administration Team is a highly trained, multi-disciplined group of architects, engineers, designers, drafters and project managers. This team provides a super-coordinated set of plans and proven quality control procedures that have been tested over hundreds of ministry projects.
Throughout the drawing delivery process, the latest Building Information Modeling (BIM) software enables the BGW design team to perform "clash" drawings between engineering disciplines to address potential conflicts prior to construction, bringing the highest level of continuity from the earliest stages of design.
