Senior Pastor of The Genesis Project National Network & Author of The Book "The God of New Beginnings"
Matt is the Founder and Lead Pastor of The Genesis Project, a church based in Ogden, Utah that has grown to a multi-site movement in 6 communities across the nation reaching thousands every week. The Genesis Project worked with Building God's Way to develop a new worship facility with a full-service event center (Hub 801 Events), community coffee shop (Hub City Coffee), multiple ministry and rehabilitation homes, and non-profit community services. Matt will share how these business models have helped the church expand ministry opportunities while becoming an integral part of their community.
Matt's new book, "The God of New Beginnings", tells the story of The Genesis Project, a network of believers whose goal is to plant churches in dark places, targeting people who don’t normally "do" church. Reaching drug addicts, convicts, strippers, and gang members, they’ve seen God do amazing things with seemingly hopeless lives. Through these dramatic stories, Matt offers practical wisdom to pastors for breaking through the darkness in a person’s life.

Senior Pastor, Calvary Community Church
In 2012, Pastor Dave Tebay and the leadership of Calvary Community Church worked with Building God’s Way and Erickson-Hall Construction to convert an existing 40,000 sf office building into their current worship facility. As a result of their consistent growth, the church is now nearing the start of construction on a second phase, a new 500-seat sanctuary. Along with more seating space, the new Worship Center will also allow for the expansion of their music and creative arts ministry, with a larger performing arts stage and improved sight lines, and a state of the art audio / video and lighting system.
Pastor Tebay will share about some of the key things he has learned during Calvary’s journey of growth and facility expansion and the vision that God has laid on their heart for the community of Brea and beyond. “We have felt, and continue to feel very clearly, God calling us to follow him in this intimidating journey. He has been faithful to us from the very beginning. We are only convinced even more that the Lord will be faithful to complete the good work he has begun in us (Phil. 1:6)”.
