Photo 1: The use of this crane and other equipment, as well as the workmen’s time, was gifted to UBCA by a local contractor in support of the UBCA ministry. As a testiment to God’s grace and timing, this contractor would have been too busy to make this generous donation in 2008. This is a true testament the school's decision to move forward in faith, completing work as the funds and resources become available.
Photo 2: One of the first horizontal members set had the scripture passage, Proverbs 16:3 sprayed on it,which reads: “Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. ” (NIV). The verse itself was not written in hopes that others would be led to the Bible for understanding and greater insight into God’s love and grace.
Photo 3: In the early morning, God’s grace shines upon Uintah Basin Christian Academy and those that are working to bring this ministry’s vision to reality.

Photo 1 & 2: The academy’s principal, Mrs. Burch, wrote on the foundation with a nail: “For Your Honor and Glory, Jesus” and the youngest pre-schooler placed her handprint below the inscription. This inscription is located directly above a Bible previously signed and buried in the cement.
Photo 3: The gym floor was cast at approximately 4am in cooler temperatures so the cement would not set up too quickly.

Photo 1: The construction crew was thanked by the students with a personal card and homemade cookies. This was the first time many of these workers had experienced such a kind gesture. Very seldom is such appreciation shown and the workers were touched.
Photo 2: All the students wrote scripture, outlined their bodies, and wrote positive messages to the workers on the cement. The concrete was then sealed to preserve their work.
Photo 3: One young student asked if it would be okay to confess to her parents that she had written on the concrete of her new school.

Photo 1: Construction began on the new Uintah Basin Christian Academy (UBCA) located between Denver and Salt Lake City in Vernal Utah. In an otherwise parched desert, this community is in the heart of Utah’s “Dinosaurland” and is located next to the Dinosaur National Monument, home to the famous Dinosaur Quarry.
Photo 2: The Academy is being built on approximately 5 acres, on the site adjacent to the current academy. Initial site grading and preparation were the first steps in bringing the new UBCA to life.
Photo 3: School children came out to witness the pouring of the foundation and each signed a Bible that was buried in the footing. As construction progresses, a plaque will be placed on the wall directly above the Bible and pictures will document this celebration.
