Providence Classical Academy was originally launched as Shreveport Classical Christian School in August 2005 with 17 students on the campus of Broadmoor Baptist Church and has grown to a K4-12th grade school of over 570 students. Over the past 7 years, Providence has built four buildings. The school hopes to begin construction on their final major building, the new high school campus, in 2019, and anticipates moving into the new building in August 2020. The school has set a goal to raise $5 Million over the next two years towards the total construction cost of $12-14 Million. The new building will feature a 463 seat auditorium, full size basketball gymnasium with locker rooms and weight room, library, science labs, music and choir room and a spacious 6,000 SF commons area. The exterior of the building will feature a “Southern Colonial” architectural style with a characteristic colonnade extending across the front.
