Temple Baptist (VA) preliminary charette

This impressive worship center design heralds the future for Temple Baptist Church. Partner architect Mark Hilles and designer Trevor Broughton recently returned from a preliminary charette – an intensive, onsite design event – with this new BGW client in Herndon, Virginia. We use the collaborative charette meetings to explore the needs of your ministry, ensuring your master plan and facility design work for years to come.

During their visit with Temple, Mark and Trevor toured the current campus, met with ministry leaders to discuss campus needs, visited local planning offices, and worked on the design onsite – capturing the church’s ministry vision with this stunning design. They began with hand sketched spacial relationships to define the ministry facility. And then, within the two days of onsite work, they presented a master site plan and delivered the first round of exterior CAD sketches and the 78,000 SF floor plan for the first phase.
